When to use:

Nutritional supplement for calves at shipping, during fluid loss, and when diarrhea is common among calves. Supplies dietary fibers, electrolytes, and beneficial microbial cultures. Also recommended as a routine supplement post-calving.

Directions for use:

(1 scoop = 1 ounce)

For calves with fluid deficiency, continue feeding milk at alternate times (at least 30 minutes before/after feeding ‘O’ PectiLyte with water). Consult veterinarian for proper drenching/tubing procedures.

Daily maintenance: Mix 1/2 to 1 ounce ‘O’ PectiLyte / 2 quarts milk or warm water. Feed once or twice daily.

At receiving: Mix 1/2 to 1 ounce ‘O’ PectiLyte / 2 quarts warm water once or twice daily at alternate times to milk.

Slight fluid deficiency: Mix 1 to 2 ounces‘O’ PectiLyte / 2 quarts warm water twice daily.

Moderate fluid deficiency: Mix 2 ounces ‘O’ PectiLyte / 2 quarts warm water two to three times daily.

When to use:

For mixing with daily water supply, for dehydrated calves at shipping, during fluid loss, when experiencing intestinal upset, off-feed due to shipping, handling, disease, or hot weather, to reduce shrink, in conjunction with veterinary therapy for diarrhea.

Directions for use:

Daily feeding during hot weather:

Mix at following rates with daily drinking water offered between milk feedings. One level scoop (40 grams) per gallon of water to two level scoops (80 grams) per 5 gallons water; 5 Kg pouch per 125 to 300 gallons of water.

Dehydrated calves, calves with diarrhea:

Mix 80 grams (2 level scoops) with warm water to make 2 liters of electrolyte solution. Feed 2 liters of resulting electrolyte solution twice daily or as a drench or with a stomach tube for calves up to 250 lbs. body weight.

For calves fed milk or milk replacer, separate milk / milk replacer feeding, and electrolyte solution feeding by at least 30 minutes or alternately feed milk or electrolyte solution at intervals spaced evenly throughout day. Consult veterinarian for proper drenching / tubing procedures. Discard any mixture not used immediately.

Incoming Cattle:

Adult Dairy Cows:

Mix 0.25 pound (1 scoop) electrolyte powder with 5 gallons water. Immediately after calving, allow cow to drink or feed as drench.

One pound per 25 cows daily thereafter. In the feed ration, one pound per 25 head daily.
